Work with confidential HR cases

Follow guided case actions, record factual evidence and review closure safeguards.

For HR administrator

Where to start

  • Open Manage → More → HR cases.

What to do

  1. 01

Open the intended case and check its reference, type, status and any linked employee before changing it.

  2. 02

Follow its guided actions. Record factual updates and evidence within the restricted case workspace, with the relevant dates and reasons.

  3. 03

Use the case owner and reminder controls when responsibility needs an authorised change. Adviser support and adviser workspace access remain separate decisions.

  4. 04

Review the guided actions and outcome before closing. Closure requires all guided actions to be finished, a human-reviewed outcome and no active adviser support requests.

  5. 05

On Android, choose Review closure and review the confirmation before saving. Do not close a case merely to enable a retention control.

  6. 06

For a closed case that needs further work, use Reopen case and record the appropriate reason. Check the saved status and retained history.

What happens next

Closure changes the case status and retains its records. It is separate from evidence disclosure, retention review and temporary adviser access.

If you need help

If closure is blocked, check unfinished guided actions, the reviewed outcome and active support requests. Keep allegations and employee evidence out of public help requests.

Does asking an adviser grant workspace access?

No. Support requests and adviser workspace access are separate controls.

Guidance reviewed 4 October 2026. Available controls depend on your workspace and access.
